Today I found myself, again, considering buying a new strap. This is a bit odd for me, and also odd in the context of this article because I don’t particularly “like” camera straps.
Maybe it’s because as an amateur I had too many instances where my camera would swing around from my neck on hikes and bash into (or almost bash into) trees and rocks. Straps always felt less utilitarian than they ought to be.
I trusted my own grip more than a neck-orbiting camera/strap combo. If I really needed to secure the camera, it would go into my pack.
